Background
The "Beyond Books Play Recipes: Playing the Way to Literacy" deck was divided into five categories, which each focusing on developing specific skills to promote literacy. Each card was a "recipe" or self-contained activity that helped build vocabulary, learn sounds and rhythms, understand story structure, understand how words represent language, and build visual skills.
